Mongolian Tribes Before Genghis Khan
When Genghis Khan met the Mongolian tribes, it was throught their bad habits of kidnapping children and murder for food. Khan and his wife were kidnapped by one of the clans and this horrifying experience, motivated him to resolve the problems among the tribes.
When uniting these tribes, Khan went against custom and made his family members fill up some of the official positions and the rest by some from each clan. Since he was an animst, his followers included, Christians, Muslims, and Buddhists. Any looting was asked to not be given until a victory was earned. The following year, he called for representatives from each territory to come to means and establish an unification. This then created the start of the Mongolian Empire.
